A shelter I designed and built with my parents. I wanted to extend some ideas about translucency and impermanence that I explored in studio. It was also an opportunity to build a design.
It is located in the woods around my house, and faces northwest to take advantage of the density of trees and the indirect light.

We chose untreated wood to allow the structure to age and decay. The white tarp will collect dirt, and act as a surface that the surrounding trees can project their shadows onto.
The images begin with when it was built in January of 2017 and continue to the present.
