A vertical farm and mixed use project in the River North District of Denver. Interior vertical farming presents the opportunity to move most of our food production to the city, leaving the countryside open to be reclaimed by nature.
Agriculture allows us to specialize, distancing society from the production of food. The project proposes that industrial farming is divorced from society. It is acknowledged in the tall tower, but closed off. The program around it is supported by it, but not attached to it. The program for living and for working as well as the utilities are lifted off the ground plane, which is allowed to return to prairie.
